Paul Fireman - Chairman
Paul Fireman is the chairman of Fireman Capital Partners. Fireman Capital Partners is a platform for Mr. Fireman and his partners to leverage capital, relationships, and expertise in sectors known well to the team.
Until 2006, when he led the sale to Adidas, Mr. Fireman was chairman & CEO of Reebok International Ltd in Canton, Massachusetts. He introduced the first women's athletic shoe in 1982 and throughout the years, began aggressive international expansion of his company. Such an expansion included not only creating and managing Reebok's core brand, but also doing the same with many subsidiaries, including Greg Norman, The Hockey Company, CCM, Boston Whaler, Ralph Lauren Footwear, and Rbk. Today, the company's products are sold in more than 170 countries.
Considered a bold marketer but prudent financial manager, Fireman consistently espoused the idea that Reebok products must "make a difference" and "create excitement." "To the extent that your brand makes a difference and stands for something special, people will recognize it and reward you for it," Fireman says. At FCP, Paul spends his time working on strategies to help unlock imbedded value within our investments to help them achieve their full potential.
Before founding Reebok, Mr. Fireman was an officer in an outdoor sports distributorship owned by his family. He attended Boston University and is a graduate of Tabor Academy. Mr. Fireman and his wife, Phyllis, reside in Palm Beach, Florida. As co-founders of the Paul & Phyllis Fireman Family Foundation, Paul and Phyllis, with their family, manage one of Massachusetts' largest private foundations. They have three children and eight grandchildren.
