James is a Senior Associate at Fireman Capital Partners.  He is responsible for M&A evaluation and execution and supports portfolio efforts for FCP and its various investment vehicles. Prior to joining FCP, James worked in the investment banking group at Jefferies & Company where he focused on M&A, capital markets and restructuring transactions within the consumer and retail industry. His experience includes work with such clients as Circuit City, Movie Gallery, Oriental Trading Company and Coinstar.

James graduated with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a BS in Business Administration and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma. He spent extensive time living abroad in both Hong Kong and Copenhagen during his undergraduate education as part of the GLOBE program at UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School. James is an active outdoor enthusiast and enjoys whitewater kayaking, skiing, cycling and running in his free time. James has passed level 1 of the CFA examination.
