James is an Associate for Fireman Capital Partners.  He is responsible for M&A evaluation and execution and supports portfolio efforts for FCP and its various investment vehicles. Prior to joining FCP, James worked in the investment banking group at Jefferies & Company where he focused on M&A, capital markets and restructuring transactions within the consumer and retail industry. His experience includes work with such leading clients as Circuit City, Movie Gallery, Oriental Trading Company and Coinstar.

James graduated with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received a BS in Business Administration and was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma.  While at UNC, James was one of fifteen students selected for the GLOBE scholars program during which he spent eight months studying in Copenhagen and Hong Kong and traveling extensively throughout other parts of Europe and Asia. In addition, James is an accomplished whitewater kayaker and has paddled and instructed others throughout the United States. James has passed level 1 of the CFA examination.
