Dan Fireman - Managing Partner

Dan is co-founder and managing general partner of Fireman Capital Partners. Previously, Dan was CEO of Willowbend Development, LLC, where he successfully turned around a portfolio that comprised over $500MM of investor capital. This involved investments in complex real estate partnerships, including the Westin Rio Mar (San Juan, PR), J.W. Marriot Star Pass (Tucson, AZ), and Willowbend Country Club (Mashpee, MA). When Dan took over, the portfolio was overleveraged and investor outlook was considered bleak. Through restructuring of debt, renegotiation of partnerships, and skillful monetization, Dan managed to return capital to investors well beyond expectations. Dan brings this creative deal-making and relationship management experience to bear at FCP.

Prior to leading Willowbend, Dan held various sales and marketing leadership roles at Reebok, LTD, where he gained deep expertise in the makings of a break-out consumer brand. Dan's roles included responsibility for Reebok's professional and college sports marketing in the Southeast US, and in this time he oversaw the company's successful marketing efforts for landmark events such as the Atlanta Olympics and the Super Bowl. In 1997, Dan generated substantial savings to Reebok when he called for and spearheaded a committee to comprehensively review the utilization and profitability of sports licenses, resulting in new company insights and a major strategic shift. Earlier roles include valuable experience in field sales; Dan held P&L responsibility and managed all aspects of Reebok's business on-the-ground over a region covering Alabama and Tennessee. Dan was finally involved in the successful sale of the Company, including his family's shares, to Adidas in 2006.

Dan holds a BA from Emory University and an MBA from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. Dan is chairman of the Board for Hudson Clothing, LLC, and on the Board of Directors for Pilla, Inc, and Fireman Capital Advisors.  Dan serves on the board and is an advisor to several non profit and other organizations including the Board of Overseers at Babson College, founding chairman of One Family, Inc., trustee of The Fireman Family Foundation, and on the Board of Trustees for City Year, Inc. Dan is married and resides in the Boston area with his wife and two children.
