Andrew M. Spellman - General Partner
Andy is a founding general partner of Fireman Capital Partners ("FCP") and co-founder of Fireman Capital Advisors ("FCA"). Along with Paul and Dan Fireman, Andy conceptualized and created FCP and FCA. Since inception, Andy has lead the strategic vision of the firm. In addition, Andy directly oversees FCP's mergers and acquisitions efforts and team, various capital markets activities, and co-heads the Investment Committee.
Prior to FCP Andy was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs & Co. within the firm's Investment Management Division and had a similar role at Credit Suisse. Prior to his banking career, Andy was the founder and Chairman/CEO of Affordable Luxuries, Inc., ("AL") an international, multimillion-dollar direct marketing and distribution company for many reputable brands including Yankee Candle. Under Andy's direction, the company built a distribution network from inception to 3,000 independent sales representatives and acquired over 100,000 customers. Prior to launching AL, Andy joined ZOOTS (created by the founders of Staples) as an unpaid intern when there were less than 10 employees, and held various roles over his tenure including director of business development and director of operations. At ZOOTS, Andy played key roles in the expansion from pre-revenue to over $75MM in sales.
Andy graduated from Bentley College, and serves on the Board of Directors of Hudson Clothing, LLC, Charity Partners LLC (www.ticketsforcharity.com), and Fireman Capital Advisors. Andy serves on the Board of Directors for One Family, Inc. and City Year Boston, and is an overseer of the Children's Museum of Boston. Andy resides outside of Boston with his wife and four children.
