OSKAR BLUES BREWERY HOLDINGS
In 2011, FCP began its diligence of the craft beer industry as a high potential area for investment after noticing that craft beer had been highly disruptive to the overall US beer industry over the past decade. Founded in 2015, Oskar Blues Brewery Holdings, LLC (“OBBH”), is a craft beer portfolio that includes five US craft beer brands.
Founded by Dale Katechis in 1997 in Lyons, Colorado, Oskar Blues Brewery launched the craft beer-in-a-can apocalypse with hand-canned, flagship brew Dale’s Pale Ale. Today, Oskar Blues is one of the fastest growing breweries in the country and operates breweries in Longmont, Colorado, Brevard, North Carolina, and Austin, Texas while producing 192,000 barrels in 2015. Oskar Blues is available in all 50 U.S. states, Washington, D.C., parts of Canada, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Spain, Chile, the Netherlands, Belgium, the U.K. and Australia. www.oskarblues.com
Cigar City Brewing (“CCB”), makers of Jai Alai IPA and Hunahpu’s Imperial Stout, was founded in 2009 by Joey Redner with the goal of creating quality beer that reflected the flavors and history of the Tampa region. This unique perspective resonated with the local and national markets alike and the brewery has quickly grown from 1,000 barrels of beer in 2009 to an excess of 65,000 barrels produced in 2016. CCB’s partnership with Oskar Blues ushered in a new era of growth for this Florida-based organization, with new markets and technologies on the horizon. Since inception, CCB has won numerous awards and accolades commending the high-quality beer they consistently produce. Most recently, CCB was named the #4 Craft Brewery in the world in 2016 by RateBeer. www.cigarcitybrewing.com
